Hyssop, genus of Hyssopous is botanically called Hyssopus Officinalis and is an herbaceous plant. The plant is known to be native to Europe, the Middle East, and the surrounding region. Hyssop is very rich in antiseptic properties and a great cough reliever and expectorant. Hyssop is a shrub, always brightly colored, it grows between 30cm-60cm with white fragrant flowers. Recent research developments have made it known that there is a presence of volatile oil and other properties that are active as antibacterial and antiviral.
